Flash Video Blue Tint in Ubuntu 12.04

If you just upgraded to the latest Adobe Flash Player recently,you may experienced flash video appears blue tint color when watching Youtube. Actually it’s one of Adobe‘s bug which still haven’t been fixed.One of below solutions may works for you.

Fix One:Install Patched libvdpau1

1.Open a terminal by pressing CTL+ALT+t  and install patched libvdpau using bellow command

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tikhonov/misc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libvdpau1

2.Then restart your browse to confirm if the issue disappeared

 

Fix Two:Disable Flash Player’s Hardware Acceleration

1.Open a Video from Youtube and switch to Full Screen Mode ,right click and select Settings…  
           Note:You may need to try several times to bring the setting window up.Or log out then log in using Unity 2D mode then try again

2.Deselect Enable hardware acceleration

3.Restart your browser to verify

 

Fix Three:Uninstall libvdpau

Run below command in your terminal to uninstall libvdpau

sudo apt-get remove  libvdpau1

Note:This command will also unstall libvdpau’s dependency packages mplayer and mencoder

    Ubuntu sucks so much with unity 3d i have the 30% of fps and bad performance on 3d games. And i have high end pc and graphics card.
    It just sucks, Linux mint (cinammon) is the choice
