In ubuntu it’s very easy to create a bootable usb stick which could be used to install ubuntu from usb.
1.Download ubunut iso file from http://www.ubuntu.com/download
2.Insert your usb disk / stick /pendrive with 2G+ free disk space
3.Open the dash and search for Startup Disk Creator.
4.Click Startup Disk Creator to launch this program
5.Click ‘Other’ and select the ubuntu ISO file you just downloaded,then select the usb disk you want to use ,then click “Make Startup Disk”
6.Then the system will create a bootable usb stick for you automacically. You may need to enter the sudo’s password for authentication.
- It’s recommended to have your usb stick formatted as fat or fat32 but not ntfs
